Lake County Jail Roster
The local custody source is the Lake County Jail page. The jail is operated by the Lake County Sheriff's Office at 613 3rd Ave, Two Harbors, MN 55616, and the official page states that the facility has capacity for 25 inmates. It also houses inmates from neighboring counties such as Cook and St. Louis County, which matters when a person arrested in the Arrowhead region is not held in the county someone expects.
The roster is posted as public data under Minnesota law, but the jail page gives strong limits. Juvenile distribution is restricted. The county warns that roster data may not be current, accurate, or complete, that people may use false or incorrect identification, and that an arrest does not mean guilt or conviction. Current status of pending legal matters should be confirmed through the Minnesota Court System, MCRO, or Lake County Court Administration.
The county custody screenshot comes from the official Lake County Jail roster and jail information page.
That page is the local hub for current custody, visitation, mail, bail, phone, program, and roster disclaimers. It should be treated as a custody source, not as a full criminal case file.
Use the Lake County Roster
The official capture did not expose a normal text search form for individual inmate profiles. The roster area appeared as an embedded or JavaScript-driven document viewer, so the most accurate description is a posted current roster, not a guaranteed searchable database. If the embedded roster does not load, call the Sheriff's Office at (218) 834-8385 or contact the jail/program office for current custody questions.
- Open the Lake County Jail page and allow the embedded roster area to load.
- Review the posted current roster manually if no name-search field is visible.
- Use any embedded document controls, such as list view, sort order, or file view, if they appear in the browser.
- Confirm any possible match directly with the jail before relying on the roster for legal or release decisions.
- Search MCRO by case number or party name when the question is charge status, hearing date, disposition, or court conditions.
Lake County Roster Fields
The verified inventory is limited because the official page did not reveal a static row-level profile during capture. The table below avoids invented booking fields and records only what the Lake County source and static capture supported.
| Field Label | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Current Jail Roster | Embedded document area | n/a | JavaScript appears to be required for the roster area. |
| Name / Size / Modified / Date of creation | Document controls | n/a | Captured labels suggest a posted roster file or embedded viewer. |
| Sort/order controls | UI controls | Optional | Ascending, descending, thumbnails, and list-view style controls were observed. |
| Search by inmate name | Not visible in static source | Unspecified | No official visible name-search field was captured. |
Lake County Custody Inventory
A full inmate profile was not captured from the official Lake County page, so fields such as mugshot, height, weight, race, housing unit, bond by charge, booking number, or projected release should not be promised. The verified public-data inventory is more modest and still useful for routing a search correctly.

Lake County Jail Contact
Lake County has one official local jail facility identified in the research. The Sheriff's Office serves a large 2,062-square-mile county with duty stations in Two Harbors, Silver Bay, and Fall Lake, but the jail itself is at the Law Enforcement Center in Two Harbors. Sheriff Nathan Stadler is listed as sheriff, and the sheriff page lists 13 sworn deputy sheriffs, an investigator, sergeant, chief deputy, and the sheriff.

Minnesota DOC Inmate Lookup
County custody and state custody are different records. The Minnesota DOC Offender Locator covers adults committed to the Commissioner of Corrections who remain in prison or under supervision. Newly sentenced people may take several business days to appear. It is the correct statewide path when a Lake County case has moved from local jail custody to state prison or DOC supervision.
The DOC offender locator source shown here is Minnesota DOC public viewer.
The DOC tool is not a Lake County jail roster. It should be paired with the local jail page and MCRO when the custody path includes arrest, court filing, sentencing, and transfer.
| DOC Field | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Search method | Radio | Yes | Name or MNDOC Offender ID. |
| First Name | Text | Optional | Search includes names beginning with entered letters and associated conviction names. |
| Last Name | Text | Optional | Begins-with behavior helps when spelling is uncertain. |
| MNDOC Offender ID | Text | Optional if ID method selected | Direct offender ID lookup. |
Registrant and Criminal History
The Minnesota DOC Public Registrant Search is a separate community-notification tool, not a general jail roster. It covers public notification registrants under Minnesota law. The BCA Public Criminal History Search is also separate: it provides public conviction data, not current jail custody, and excludes arrest data, juvenile data, out-of-state history, federal data, older post-sentence data, and other private or confidential data.
The registrant screenshot comes from Minnesota DOC public registrant search.
Use registrant and BCA tools only for their specific statewide purposes. They do not answer whether a person is currently booked into Lake County Jail.
Lake County Jail Visitation
Lake County Jail posts in-person and video visitation options. The official page does not publish a detailed dress code, child-visitor rule, approval-list process, visitor background-check policy, or holiday schedule. Confirm current requirements with the jail before arriving or starting a paid video session.
| Visit type | Schedule | Cost | Access notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| In-person jail visitation | Saturday 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.; Sunday 1:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m.; Wednesday 6:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m. | No fee posted | Confirm current rules with Lake County Jail before arrival. |
| Reliance Connect smartphone video visitation | 7:00 a.m.-11:00 p.m. any day of the week | $0.25 per minute | Android and Apple App Store links are posted by the jail. |
Lake County's video-visitation and phone vendor source shown here is Reliance Telephone.
Reliance Connect is the app documented by the jail page. No Lake County Sheriff app-only inmate lookup, warrant search, records portal, or tip-line app was found in the official county sources.
Contact a Lake County Inmate
Inmates may write letters and may send one letter postage-free on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Mail to attorneys and public officials may be mailed any day. Only letters and cards postmarked and delivered by the Post Office in the usual manner can be accepted. Cash, money orders, or cashier's checks can be received and placed into the inmate's canteen account.
The return address must include a name and address or the letter will be held in the inmate's box and given at release. Mail is inspected for physical and written contraband, and envelopes should not have stickers. Address mail as:
(inmate's name)

To set up inmate phone accounts, call 1-800-896-3201 or use Reliance Telephone. Inmate voicemail is (218) 216-7460.
Bail, Fees, and Commissary
Cash bail may be posted at Lake County Jail at any time. The jail does not accept personal checks, credit cards, or debit cards for cash bail. Bail may also be posted through a bonds person of the user's choice. Bond-service listings are kept in cell blocks and phone books.
The sheriff fee schedule lists a $20 booking fee, Huber fees of $20 per day, out-of-county Huber and cell fees of $75 per day, medical or dental requests at $5 per request, phone cards at $10, prescription medication refill at $5, non-prescription medication at $0.25 to $1.00, urinalysis at $10, and confirmed positive urinalysis at $20 each.
The fee screenshot is from the Lake County Sheriff fee schedule.
Fees and jail account rules can affect release planning, inmate phone access, Huber status, medical requests, and canteen purchases, so they should be checked against the current sheriff schedule.
Lake County Inmate Data Limits
Jail roster information is governed by Minnesota law-enforcement and corrections-data rules. The jail page cites Minn. Stat. sections 13.82, 13.85, and 641.05. Those rules explain why some data is public, why juvenile distribution is restricted, and why current-custody information is not the same as a court conviction or complete criminal-history record.
The statute source shown here is Minnesota Statutes section 13.85.
For legal status, use MCRO or Court Administration. For current custody, use the jail. For state prison and supervision, use DOC. Each source answers a different records question.
